New ideas emerge when you question the assumptions upon which a problem is based
— Shane Snow, Smartcuts

Through helping on a theater performance by my Godmother Patricia Rau I came to an understanding that blew my mind. It might be dangerous to paraphrase this when it comes to my work, nevertheless, it is always sublimity what I’m striving for. Edmund Burke’s concepts around the sublime connected tremendously with my earlier endeavours.

Edmund Burke his quest for the sublime reminds me of the personal drive I found myself putting in my work. To my great surprise, some business-book writers already came to similar conclusions. Round-about the moment I started to connect those dots I started to entertain the idea of shifting my attention to developing a product, a business (ONAK canoes).

Here some resumés of some of those business books:

A designer knows he has achieved perfection not when there is nothing left to add, but when there is nothing left to take away.
— Antoine de Saint-Exupéry
